We never imagined such a war - the new exhibition to honour the centenary of the WW1 is on a display! The exhibition tries to capture the weight of time between 1914 and 1918 through 13 personal stories, written by the life during the Great War.

Year 2014 is all in sign of the centenary of the Great War. Thus, the National Museum of Contemporary History is trying to pay respect to all, whose lives were marked by the war. How the war influenced the lives during the years of 1914 and 1918 is shown on the exhibition, which leads us through the stories of 13 people. You are warmly welcome to pay a visit.

We will be celebrating International Museum Day with a guided tour on the exhibition We never imagined such a war, and a workshop for children on May 17th 2015 with free entry to all of the museum offers.
Also on Monday, May 18th 2015 our museum is open and the entry free of charge.
