Canterbury Catch Club met from 1779 to 1865, offering members a convivial evening of music, food, drink and tobacco, followed by the witty catches popular in England for centuries. The Club’s archive was donated to the Beaney in 1915, and this centenary exhibition uses new audio recordings, video, and visuals to bring a fascinating slice of Canterbury’s social and cultural history to life.
