The museum exhibition presents the history of Holon, its early days, first neighborhoods and settlers, industrial development , the Samaritans community, the "Haganah" organization, War of Independence, Aliya ( immigrants)and archaeological findings .
The museum which serves as the city archives has photographs, documents and old artifacts on display .
Visitors can view two movies about the history and development of Holon .
The Museum is situation in " Hertzfeld House ", a house once owned by Avraham Hertzfeld. Hertzfeld was among the leaders of the Settlement Movement (Yishuv) prior the establishment of the state of Israel and and a member of the Knesset (parliament ).
In his will he ordered his house to the Municipality of Holon for the purpose of establishing an educational institution .
The Museum and Archive are interested to introduce visitors, residents and non-residents of Holon alike, to the past of Holon as well as its present. Its activities are intended to strengthen the feeling of identity with the city and with the values of its historical , cultural, social, educational and humanitarian heritage,.Explain the citys part in the heritage of the Settlement (Yishuv), through a variety of activities for different designated audiences
The museum offers guided tours and activities throughout the city, as well as educational programs for schools about Holon's history, neighborhoods, nature and life in the sand dunes , environmental awareness, the Hebrew language and
