© Dom Pattinson The links between Brangelina, Victoria Beckham and AFC Bournemouth might not be immediately clear without the knowledge that all three parties own a painting by Dom Pattinson.
© Dom Pattinson Describing his influences as propaganda art in Russia and the raw street sprawls of young Sinn Fein activists in Northern Ireland, Pattinson’s portrait of a girl in a raincoat, holding a pink-petalled balloon, was gifted to Pitt and Jolie as a wedding present by fellow megastar George Clooney.
© Dom Pattinson More recently, Liam Gallagher and Davina McCall are said to have made acquisitions from the artist. And in his first UK solo exhibition in a year, at Bournemouth’s Westover Gallery, Pattinson will also put on show Barbed Wire Love, in which two grimacing boys clutch a heart made from barbed wire – a previously unseen work given to Beckham following her humanitarian speech at the UN last year.
