Win a copy of the new book by 'surrealist' Oda Jaune
Untitled (2012). Oil on canvas© Oda Jaune If You Close Your Eyes, the new book from controversial, prize-winning surrealist painter Oda Jaune, has just been released.
The book is full of canvas and watercolour work, from lover’s faces melting into one another to figures with grotesque tumourous bulges bursting from delicate limbs.
In a series of works designed to produce a feeling of disorientation and discomfort in the viewer, nightmarish dolls creep from green beds and heads explode in mid air as Jaune explores her characteristic themes of gender, sexuality and desire.

Her art has been shown in Belgium, China, Germany, Serbia and New York and her trophies include the Emprise Art Award and Les Prix Pierre Cardin.
Born in Bulgaria, she now lives in Paris, where she is working on a solo show of oil paintings which will open on January 9 2016 at Galerie Daniel Templon.
