Film "Battle of Neretva"

The true story of humanity and courage during the Battle for the Wounded was brought to the screen by director Veljko Bulajić who directed the film "Battle of Neretva".

The place where we are is the last piece of the puzzle and the firm decision of the Supreme Headquarters and Comrade Tito that the wounded must not be left behind. Therefore, the only possibility was to transport the wounded over the improvised bridge on the Neretva.

The poster for this film, which was made, donated and personally signed by Picasso, is confirmation that the film was rightfully named one of the ten best war-themed films in the world, and was nominated for an Oscar in the category of foreign language films.
