Venture off the beaten track on Saturday 24th August and discover the treasures of the British Postal Museum Store at a special open day event. Behind its unassuming façade, the Museum Store houses a wonderful collection of the BPMA’s larger exhibits, each with a story to tell. As part of the ‘Hidden Treasures’ 2013 event, come and find out about a hidden strand of postal history – the Post Office underground railway. Throughout the day you can explore the collection, as well as experiencing spotlight talks by our curators, activities, trails and film footage all connected to the fascinating Post Office underground railway.

The venue is a museum store with only one toilet, although it is wheelchair accessible – as is the whole store. There is no cafe on site, but refreshments will be provided free of charge.
