We invite you to visit the largest museum in the Middle Rhodopes.

We offer to your attention the permanent exposition “Cultural and Historical Heritage of the Rhodope Region from Antiquity to Modern Times” with over 1500 unique exhibits, included in two major divisions – “Archaeology” and “Ethnography”.

Archaeological findings prove the early habitation of the mountain and follow the specific features of material and non-material heritage left behind by the local population since the end of Paleolithic till Late Middle Ages.

You will be enchanted forever by the wealth and uniqueness of the colours of the mountain and of the mastery of the Rhodopes craftsmen, while the cosmic chimes of the 100 sheep bells will fascinate you with the originality of their music.
