Study session: The Art of Arms and Armour

Come and discover the history and intriguing secrets behind Waddesdon Manor’s collection of arms and armour and get hands-on with a dedicated study session. As well as being practical items with deadly intent, historic arms and armour have long been appreciated as beautiful objects to display in stately interiors. Tales of human ingenuity and passion will be revealed, as well as the intrigue of later deception and forgery. The session will introduce you to how the collection came to be at Waddesdon, allow you to appreciate some of the skills used to create intricate decoration, and give you a hands-on chance to study some key pieces close up.
