Party with the original party animal, Samuel Pepys, and share his passions and pleasures in this night of indulgence to get you in the mood for Christmas.
Samuel Pepys: Plague, Fire, Revolution
Delve into the turbulent history of Stuart London with famous diarist Samuel Pepys as your guide. Join exhibition curators for a guided tour at 19.00, or enjoy the exhibition yourself all evening. Find out more
The Dancing Schoole
Join the Playford Liberation Front (‘dancing master’ Will Hall and musicians Paul Hutchinson, Karen Wimhurst and Fiona Barrow) for a zesty introduction to sociable dancing 17th-century style. Dances are similar to those currently popular at ceilidhs and barn dances - all are taught and walked through so no previous experience is required.
Cringe
Cringe is a hilarious open mic night, in which ‘grown-ups’ read out their own excruciating, embarrassing teenage diaries.
Mighty Booth
For one night only! Step right up to our Stuart photo booth, throw on some fancy dress and snap away. A free memento of a great night courtesy of National Maritime Museum Greenwich!
Return of the Bling
The dark and lean years are over! Why not take the opportunity to make yourself a fashionable brooch or crown to brighten up your outfit with Hurdy Gurdy and add a little sparkle to your evening?
Up Spirits! Rum bar courtesy of Pusser’s Rum
Calling all sailors to report to the Sammy Ofer Wing deck and receive your daily tot! Join Rum expert Peter Thornton for a tasting of world-class, award-winning Pusser’s Rum, and a special talk on the history and tradition of the rum ration in the Royal Navy.
