The Great Warwickshire Show and Tell

Following on from last year’s success of Market Hall Museum winning the Museums at Night Connect 10 programme, on the night of the 15th of May 2015 we will yet again, transform Warwick town centre into “The Great Warwickshire Show and Tell”. It will be a very public exhibition with more than 50 exhibition spaces which will all be curated by local people and will bring together the fantastic and personal heritage and culture of Warwickshire. We are inviting community groups/organisations to occupy and curate the stalls, displaying what defines them and telling the story of why their part of Warwickshire or their particular interest in the County is great. We have a limited number of free “market” style stalls available although a number of other non-stall based spaces can be negotiated for performers. Every exhibitor will be expected to show objects/items that they feel represent their hobby /group / activities. All displays will be the responsibility of the stall holder. All interpretation will be verbal (encouraging exhibitors to tell their stories and talk to the public). Apart from your title/name. All advertising and promotion will be kept “under the counter” (This is not a trading event). We do not mind you sharing publicity material but we want you to prioritise telling your story first. If you would like to occupy a stall/require a space, please email rebeccalwilliams@warwickshire.gov.uk Please note due to high demand we may not able to offer everyone a ‘stall’.We will be aiming represent the full scope of Warwickshire’s diverse communities, heritage and culture and we will try to ensure this is reflected in the exhibition. The decision of the panel will be final.
