Holy Week Retreat

Holy Week and Easter are the climax of the Church’s liturgical year as we celebrate the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We invite you to share it with us at Durham Cathedral by participating in our worship and a special programme of retreat addresses, pilgrimage, art, quiet times and guided reflection. This is a time for spiritual renewal and participants are invited to use the time in a way that best suits their needs. Members of the Cathedral clergy team will be available at certain times for personal conversation should that be helpful. Accommodation and meals are provided by St Chad’s College and the observance of Holy Week is led by members of the Cathedral Chapter and the Bishop Emeritus of Newcastle.
