Institute of Modern Languages Research Training Seminar

Archive Skills training with the Wiener Library's longstanding archivist Howard Falksohn. This training session will begin at 10am and last until approximately 12pm. It will help students acquire skills to locate archival material on subjects including: the Holocaust, twentieth-century German history and European Jewish culture. It will also provide skills to access these materials and make use of their content. The session will be followed at by an optional tour of the Wiener Library. This begins with a group tour of the Library's photography exhibition about the November 1984 anti-Sikh pogrom in India, following on a tour of the Wolfson Reading Room. After this there will also be an opportunity for smaller groups to visit the library collections in the basement. Lunch will be followed by a seminar at 2pm led by Dr. Toby Simpson (Wiener Library).
