Prehistoric Tool Making

Working out of doors in the Museum’s grounds, you will use the methods of ancient British people to produce your own hafted tool to take home. Techniques used include flint knapping, cordage manufacture from natural figures and working with bone and antler. Val and John Lord have been practising ancient skills and technologies for the past 30 years. They now provide valuable services and learning experiences for museums, universities, schools and individual enthusiasts. Course runs Saturday-Sunday 2-3 August.
