We can win: 50 years of protest film launch

A free launch of 'We can win', a set of ten moving and often funny short films documenting a proud 50 year history of campaigning, strikes, occupations, work ins and solidarity in the name of fair pay, decent jobs, and economic justice. This event includes a very exciting preview of a Manchester based film looking at protest movements around the UK. From the Miners’ Strike to the Poll Tax rebellion, from the steps of St Paul’s to the docks of Upper Clyde, these films cover a wide swathe of ideas, places and time. This will be combined with a discussion with organisers from Manchester who are working for social, economic and environmental justice now. Please bring along food for a picnic or purchase lunch from The Left Bank cafe bar.
