Description: Cream-coloured earthenware (Queen's ware), printed underglaze in brown and painted onglaze in slightly lustrous pink and gilt. Cylindrical with reeded loop handle. Decorated on the exterior with pink and pale brown stippled, foliated initials 'E II R', over which is superimposed a brown crown, supported by a stylized lion and a unicorn over the date '19 53'. The rim and lower edge are banded in gold. The upper part of the interior is printed in brown 'GOD SAVE THE QUEEN' with a pink band over it. Down the handle there is a straight spray of paired leaves, flanked by gilt lines.
