Description: Fragment of a jug. Pale brown earthenware, the interior lead-glazed, the exterior tin-glazed except for a short distance above the base. Painted in black and copper-green.
The front, the upper part of the back, with the lower end of the handle; neck, lip and handle missing.
The front and side are divided into panels by pairs of vertical lines. The panels are filled with alternating patterns: black and green wavy lines against a black hatched background; two green wavy lines flanking hatching. On each side of the handle there are three wavy black lines between sets of three vertical lines, and there are two horizontal bands round the neck and the lower edge of the decoration.
