Description: Copper alloy, probably bronze, statuette. The nude figure of Venus kneels on one knee with Cupid in front of her; his body rests against her right knee his head bent slightly and looking left. He should hold a bow and arrow, being taught by Venus who guides his hands. Her body is bent forward as she looks down at him. Cast in three parts. Light brown patina, highly polished - has strange gold finish.
