Musée Saint-Raymond, musée des Antiques de Toulouse
Musée Saint-Raymond is housed in the walls of the old University College St. Raymond from the 16th century with the nearby Basilica of St. Sernin. The museum has reopened its doors to the public on May 8, 1999, after more than four years of renovation. During its renovation, part of the ancient early Christian necropolis dating from the 4th and 5th century has been updated.
It reveals a collection of sarcophagi. Upstairs there are different objects dating from the time of the Volques Tectosages, the Visigoths and the Gallo-Roman period. A collection of Roman busts discovered in the ruins of the villa of Chiragan at Martres-Tolosane is also exposed.
