The Archaeological Museum of Badajoz was created in 1867 to house all archaeological finds from the province of Badajoz. It is now located inside the Alcazaba (castle) of Badajoz, in the Palace of the Counts of La Roca. Its collections range from the earliest Paleolithic stones to XVIth century finds, encompasing all periods and cultures present in this territory.
El Museo Arqueológico Provincial de Badajoz fue creado en 1867 para albergar y poner en valor los restos arqueológicos hallados en la provincia. Se ubica en el interior de la Alcazaba de Badajoz, en un palacio señorial restaurado (Palacio de los Condes de La Roca) y en nueve salas expone una completa muestra de todos los periodos y culturas que han estado presente en este territorio, desde el Paleolítico Inferior hasta el siglo XVI.
