Ciné-Passion tells the story of cinema from 1920 to the present in 75 highlights of the movie poster genre. The reprints presented are all subjective, artistic interpretations of what the films they advertise are all about. In addition to those periods and countries that celebrated the movie poster, it will also showcase those outstanding designers who devoted themselves to this medium. They all developed a distinctive visual style of their own, incorporating portraits of stars and film stills only after creatively reworking them as symbolically charged images of the movie as a whole.
