Be enchanted by the colours and shapes of Nature! In this installation, 3,000 mounted species are on display - and yet it is a mere shadow of the variety of Nature. It is estimated that there are up to 40 million different currently living species, of which only a small fraction is known. New species are constantly discovered and documented - many of them by scientists of the museum. The specimens then become part of our collection of type samples and are available to researchers all over the world.
