Description: Band sampler, linen, embroidered with polychrome silk in cross and double running stitch. The sampler is initialled " I B" or "E B"and dated 1672 .It comprises 15 horizontal bands all of which contain repeat border patterns; some in addition also contain detached motifs. Band 2 has 'boxers', 5 keys, 7 two-headed eagles, 8 stags, 9 a cock and 10 a squirrel.
