Coffin fragment with wadjet eye painted thereon. 27cm long. Number 6811 written on side. Same as W1044. End piece of vaulted lid of a rectangular coffin, made for the lady of the house. The eye was to allow the deceased to look out. Purchased by Wellcome from the Rustafjaell collection in 1907.
