Cotton runner woven with the 'Golden Bough' design, a stylised pattern of acanthus leaves enclosing sprays of golden yellow leaves, harebells and roses in green and gold with a beige cotton tassel fringe along two edges. It was designed by Morris & Co in 1888 and this runner is thought to have been manufactured between c.1901 and 1911.
