The Archaeological Collection has exhibits from the Copper, Bronze and Iron Ages, from the Roman Empire and the early Croatian and late medieval periods. The finds froma a prehistoric tomb in Pustopolje on the Kupres Field are around 3500 thousand year old. Together with the deceased, a wooden chest has been preserved with the base of a wooden sleigh and a mantle of fabric. There is valuable jewellery and also the arms of the Illyrian tribe of Delmati from the Bronze and Iron Ages. Hoes, axes, fragments of glass and ceramic vessels and votive offerings to various roman deities. There are finds from the early Croatian and late medieval tombs: ear-rings, rings, knives, the Caroline sword; stone fragments of architraves with inscriptions and church furniture from early Croatian churches. Plaques with Glagolitic and Croatian Cyrilic script refer to the development of literacy in the Livno region of the time. FMGG-Livno also organizes archaeological excavations. The excavations resulted in the discoveries of a Roman necropolis, early Christian churchs, ancient villa rustica, medieval cemeterys and early Croatian church.
