Throughout ethnological collection in Zenica City Museum, since the establishment of the museum to nowadays, ethnological objects have been collected, processed, stored and presented to the public. With selection and choices of materials, in the Ethnological permanent exhibition, by thematic units, the exhibits which show tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Zenica and its surroundings in the late 19th and early 20th century, are exposed.
Zenica City Museum presents 325 exhibits in six thematic sections:
- Trades,
- Weaving industry,
- Embroidering art
- Traditional architecture,
- Dress and ornamentation and
- Sacred life.
Four members of commission participated in the realization of the Ethnological permanent exhibition: senior curator ethnologist Daniela Đukanović, senior curator ethnologist Vladimir Đukanović – employees of Museum of Republic of Srpska, museum educator Lejla Agić and museum architect Mirsada Aslani – employees of the Zenica City Museum.
