The Museum of Transport in Ruse was officially opened in 1966 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of the first railway line in Bulgaria, connecting the cities of Ruse and Varna. Its exhibition presents the development of the technical culture in the field of railway transport, shipping and communications.

The indoor exhibition presents models of locomotives, wagons and ships, original communication equipment such as Morse telegraph, postal stamps, seals, parcel boxes and other. The museum has an outdoor exhibition of locomotives and wagons.
