Rijksmuseum Twenthe

The Rijksmuseum Twenthe has its origin in the collection of one of the great textile families of the Twenthe region: the Van Heek family, who was also founder and donor of the museum.

A collection of around 140 works, which mainly include paintings from the Middle Ages up to the 19th century, laid the foundation for the museum that at its opening in 1930 was handed over to the State.
