The exhibition by Arvydas Martinaitis „Little Red Hood and co II“ .
The exhibition presents both retrospective and most recent works by A. Martinaitis – a representative of the artists’ dynasty. As the author puts it – his painting is brave and ironic, reflecting a rather troublesome mode of life and constant pursuits. The distinguishing feature of the artist’s painting is expressiveness. Like a sort of experiment, he passes from reality to abstraction, and back to an object – a somewhat mythical character.
Painter A. Martinaitis was born in 1971 in Kaunas. 1989–1993 he studied at the Kaunas Higher School of Art, 1993–1999 continued his studies at the Vilnius Academy of Fine Arts (Master’s degree) under professor Povilas Ričardas Vaitiekūnas. In addition to creative activities the artist teaches at the Kaunas College. A. Martinaitis also cares about the activities of the Martinaitis family foundation. His paintings have been acquired by both Lithuanian and foreign art gourmets.
