The exhibition of paintings by Rytas Jurgelis White River

As the author says, it took him more than 20 years to realise the concept of the cycle White River until a slight ray in his subconscious world as well as in his creation had expanded to a powerful breakthrough of light and liberation, clearly visible on the planes of his paintings.

Tranquil and meditative strokes on the surface of canvases highlight the symbolic dimension of the works: like some of the oldest and strongest symbols small squares constructing the image ensure the perception of an idea, the interaction with the viewer and the symbolic expression of ancestral world outlook.

R. Jurgelis with his paintings discloses the World, and reveals the unchangeable essence in its forever varying forms:  the flow of a white river, continuous alterations, in which lies the mystery of the eternal recurrence.
