JUGAR ES VIVIR

Huizinga described the human as homo ludens. Leaving what he denominates “ higher games ways” to one side, it is right to draw the attention over the game as differential human aspect.
The human is, a person starved for reality. The world is becoming increasingly smaller,and our own life feels too short. We have rebelled against these limits and we have created that reality.
Children, in a more or less unconscious way,have grown up playing games. In that way, they have have been able to anticipate, enjoy,multitask,unwind,socialise,understand themselves...
Many times, these games counted on the presence of some strange objects that have been hand-made by them,or industrially manufactured, which received the magic name of toys.
And there is no rehearsals in life. All is life.Playing is also life.

Como homo ludens calificó Huizinga al ser humano. Dejando al margen lo que éste denomina “formas superiores de juego”, en las que lo lúdico subyace más o menos escondido, es un acierto haber llamado la atención sobre el juego como aspecto diferencial humano -aunque hoy los avances etológicos nos sorprenden cada día reforzando parentescos hace tiempo insospechados-.
El ser humano es, como tantos han dicho, un ser hambriento de realidad. El mundo se nos queda pequeño y nuestra propia vida se nos queda corta. Rebelándonos contra estos límites hemos creado realidad y, dándosenos como tarea incluso nuestro propio ser, nos hemos hecho.
De ello han participado siempre -de manera más o menos consciente- los niños y las niñas que a lo largo del tiempo han crecido -en todos los sentidos de la palabra- jugando. Así, jugando, han podido anticiparse, recrearse, multiplicarse, evadirse, adentrarse, socializarse, comprender y comprenderse...
Muchas veces, estos juegos han contado con la presencia de unos extraños objetos que -elaborados a mano por ellos y ellas, o de fabricación industrial o mediopensionistas- reciben el mágico nombre de juguetes.
Y en esto de vivir -conviene no olvidarlo-, no hay ensayo. Todo es vida. También jugar. Y mucho.
