73 Years of Oslobođenje: great beginning!

On the occasion of its birthday Oslobođenje has prepared an exhibition of selected covers in the last 73 years.

During 73 years, every day Oslobođenje testified to the reality of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with different authors, guests, exchange of the opinions and each time with the same goal: to provide timely, objective and professional information. Even during the last war, when Oslobođenje was in the vicinity of the front lines of besieged Sarajevo, this newspaper found its way to reach the readers daily. Since it was founded, Oslobođenje took pride from being Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian, belonging to all people and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Even today. In the past, Oslobođenje succeeded to preserve professional standards, which can be proved by impressive number of awards kept in its showcases. Today, Oslobođenje tries to retain those same standards. In 1992 Oslobođenje was declared to be the best newspaper of the year in the world, and next year, on September 16 1993, thanks to the planetary solidarity of colleagues, it was printed in 21 800 000 copies.
