Continuing the specific art projects cycle of best works of contemporary art production by leading Croatian middle and younger generation artists, from October 14th to November 7th 2015 we present recent works by painter Zoltan Novak at the Art Pavilion.

Zoltan Novak (1963) belongs to the middle generation of Croatian artists; he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. Since 1988, he has been actively exhibiting and has achieved numerous solo exhibitions at home and abroad - for example, the 1996 Rome exhibition in Centro Cultural degli artisti and also he has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Croatia, Germany, Italy, France, Slovenia, United States, Czech Republic and elsewhere. For his artistic work he has received several awards (eg, 1989 in Zagreb, the prize for painting at the 21st Youth Salon). His works are in private collections at home and abroad, as well as in museums (for example, the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb, Vukovar City Museum  in Vukovar). He is an associate professor of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.

Zoltan Novak’s exhibition at the Art Pavilion will be his first exhibition in this institution. Exhibition will be realized within the cycle of environmental exhibitions which have been for many years successfully organized at the Pavilion and arouse considerable attention with the public and professionals. It will be interesting to see Novak's recent works, very large format paintings made exclusively for the exhibition venue of the Art Pavilion.
