Wellcome Image Awards 2014

Come closer and see the winning entries of the Wellcome Image Awards 2014 on display in Manchester. From an x-ray bat to a kidney stone, a head louse egg to a cross section of a flower bud, take a look at 18 stunning images which show some of the world's wonders in minute detail. The 18 award winners have been selected from the thousands of images acquired by the Wellcome Library for their Wellcome Images collection since the 2012 Awards. The Wellcome Image Awards celebrate the best in science imaging talent, from detailed microscopy and clinical photography to illustration.
