Stunning in Silver

This display focuses on one of the most romantic and extravagant wedding dresses in the Tullie House collections. Bulloughs Department Store in Carlisle made the dress to the bride’s own design. The bride chose an exquisite fabric for her dress made from silver thread. As an alternative to the traditional white wedding dress it is simply stunning. Muriel Cavaghan wore the dress for her marriage to David Kerr Duff in Carlisle in 1927.
