John Fowler

This fascinating exhibition at Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills celebrates the life and achievements of the agricultural engineer John Fowler in the year marking 150 years since his untimely death. John Fowler was a pioneer in the development of steam engines for ploughing and his inventions significantly changed the course of agricultural practice. In this exhibition we celebrate John Fowlers achievements and bring together exhibits from the Leeds Museums and Galleries collection of John Fowler material as well as objects from other lenders including the Museum of English Rural Life.
