Women of the Pleasure Quarter: A Japanese Painted Screen

This beautiful screen is one of the most important surviving paintings from he 'floating world' school of art. The accompanying display reveals the culture and sexual economy of of the so-called 'pleasure quarters' in late 18h-century Japan.
