Join Dr Melanie Giles, Senior Lecturer in Archaeology from the University of Manchester, as she muses on the inspiration to be gleaned from archaeological artefacts. Reflecting on a range of contemporary poets, the workshop will consider how both objects and human remains can be sites of both memory and meaning. She will also read from her own work based on archaeological sites and finds. Book on 0161 275 26480 museum@manchester.ac.uk, free.
