Agricultural Power from the Past

From Thursday 4th to Sunday 7th September, Beamish is hosting Agricultural Power from the Past, an extravaganza of horse power, steam power and everything in between.

Horse drawn vehicles, bicycles, motorcycles, trams, stationary engines, tractors, railway locomotives, traction engines and a host of fascinating agricultural machinery will be on display and in action in all areas of the museum.

Agricultural Power from the Past forms part of the Festival of Agriculture, a whole season celebrating the agricultural and rural heritage of North East England which runs from the 4th September to 5th October and incorporates:

  • Agricultural Power from the Past - 4th to 7th September
  • Beamish Leek Show - 13th & 14th September
  • Agricultural Show, 18th to 21st September
  • Hands on Heritage Skills (inc Quilters Exhibition), 27th & 28th September
  • Harvest Festival and Harvest Home, 4th & 5th October

Power from the Past is a fantastic day out for all ages! There is no extra charge for this event, as admission is included in the regular museum entry price.
