August 2: This week's theme is In the Trenches. We travel back in time to the First World War and have a go at marching, learn Royal Navy signals and complete gas mask training August 9: Art in the Gardens - a chance to design planes and boats, make a wacky hat or headdress and add to our giant mural. Roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty with messy art for all ages August 16: Medieval Picnic - come dressed up as a princess or knight, enjoy painting toy soldiers, make a shield or join in with medieval games August 16: Music in the Gardens. Hop, jump, bounce and jiggle to music played by local bands supported by CM, a local youth and community music organisation celebrating 30 years of providing creative music making opportunities for people of all backgrounds. Sign up for free music workshops or drop by our crafts table to make a shaker to take home August 30: V for Victory - we find out what was life like in the Second World War in the last of our Family Fun Fridays. Join a member of the Royal Pioneers to find mines using metal detectors, learn drills and complete our assault course, have a go at make do and mend
