Shifts in contemporary drama after the year 2000

On Thursday and Friday, 7 and 8 October 2021, the annual Amfiteater International Academic Symposium will reflect upon changes in contemporary drama after the year 2000.

The questions raised will include: What are the themes that are topical in contemporary playwrighting? How does a contemporary drama answer the challenges of contemporary society?

Wi will reflect upon the transition from dramatic to postdramatic writing and back, as well as try to define the new drama that might be called post-postdramatic texts.

36 researchers from Slovenia, Europe and Canada prepared 32 presentations.
