When the guns fell silent

An immersive sound experience to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War. 2018 marks the centenary of the end of the First World War and our Remembrance Sunday commemorative event will be a change to our usual gun salute and silence. This year our 18-pounder field gun will be fired every ten minutes in the 100 minutes leading up to the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. In the final ten minutes we will endeavour to simulate some of the chaos of the Western Front with a cacophony of rifle and artillery firings plus sound effects until 11am sharp when the guns will fall silent. Please join us to honour the sacrifice made by so many people so we might live in freedom today. This is a free event and suitable for all the family. Groups are very welcome
