Significance of metal in ancient Mesopotamia: Colonial British Archaeology in Egypt & India

Get a better understanding of metal’s significance within society in southern Mesopotamia (modern day Iraq) between 2,300-1,300 B.C. This talk will analyse collections of Mesopotamian metalwork held in museums around the UK, USA and Europe, as well as visual and written sources from the study period.
