Kenneth Clark’s 1970s landmark TV series Civilisation changed lives. It brought new audiences to museums and made culture and history accessible to millions. The BBC has remade that landmark series under the title Civilisations - a new global exploration of art and history for a new generation. In a fascinating talk, David Olusoga, one of the three presenters of the new series, asks ‘can TV still do that magical thing of bringing people to a place where they believe history and art is for them?’
David Olusoga is a British-Nigerian historian and BAFTA award-winning presenter and filmmaker.
