Stories from the City: The Bank of England in literature

The exhibition celebrates the launch of the new Jane Austen £10 note and explores the Bank of England’s literary connections, from writers who have a direct connection to the Bank or worked elsewhere in the City of London, to stories where the Bank of England has featured as a location. Other stories tell the tales of sensational thefts and frauds, or examine the effects of financial crises through the years.
