Kizhi Regatta. Annual Festival of Traditional Shipbuilding and Navigation.
The Festival promotes traditional craft of building wooden boats and participation of enthusiasts in race of traditional vessels around the picturesque Kizhi Island.
The Kizhi Regatta is the highlight of the summer museum holidays. Annually it gathers dozens of teams from all over Russia and abroad who come to meet the fellow enthusiasts and shipbuilding professionals.
The program includes: festive boat races, the Youth Regatta, contest of traditional shipbuilding, a celebratory concert, interactive programs and tours around Kizhi Island.
