In this talk, Professor Frances Spalding CBE will tell the story of John Minton, the inspirational artist, teacher, and book illustrator. A bohemian, his deep melancholy was for the most part kept hidden behind a euphoric generosity and a wild restlessness, until embittered, he took his own life, aged 39.
