On Wednesday 11th May the museum is staying open late, and offering free entry to visitors between 4pm and 7pm, as part of the national event ‘Museums at Night’. Everyone is welcome to come along and visit us, and it is a great opportunity to see our latest exhibition ‘The Greta: Changing Face of a River’ before it finishes on Sunday 15th May. Cumbria Life recently described it as “A Fascinating exhibition posing important questions at a time when they couldn’t be more relevant”. Visitors can explore the many aspects of Keswick’s River Greta and consider how living with our rivers, across the country, is changing. The exhibition includes: the story of the river and its wildlife; children’s activities; audio visual including interviews with local people; webcam and films.
