Anne Lever lives and paints in rural Cheshire, which inspires her love and knowledge of the British landscape and its history. Her work is ordered by geometry and infused with feeling for the spirit of place. Her painting engages mind and heart but speaks also to the soul. Working in the imaginative Neo-Romantic tradition she is a frequent collaborator with the poet Michael Fox, whose responses to her painting form part of this exhibition.
